Project summary
PM RETREAT MTEIN - ZAAROUR - LEBANON Nestled in the Lebanese mountains, this project is situated on an arid plot surrounded by a rugged landscape and native trees, serving as a spectator to the untouched natural scenery.
At the highest point of the site, the house commands the valley without arrogance. The program is organized as a rough concrete open space, each level stepping down the topography in response to the natural strata of the mountain.
Generous ceiling height, with concretre louvers dissolve sunrays and add a lyer of filtred light into this monospace, diluting the boundary between architecture and landscape in a continuous concrete composition and glass. Circulation is movement through the terrain as much as through the building.
