Clad entirely in natural stone and dark corrugated metal, this chalet emerges from the snow like a geological event — a dark mass thrust up through the white landscape, foreign in material yet entirely at home in its dramatic mountain setting.
The forms are angular and compressed, borrowing their geometry from the rock formations of the surrounding peaks while translating them into an unmistakably contemporary vocabulary. The building does not pretend to be stone; it enters into a conversation with stone.
Inside, the warmth of wood and fire contrasts completely with the severity of the exterior — a thermal and emotional shock that makes arrival feel like shelter truly found.
