Project summary
The Bekaa plain is one of Lebanon's most expansive landscapes — horizontal, vast, and lit with an intensity that makes shadow a luxury. This villa responds to the plainness of the site with a building of strong geometric character: a compact mass that casts its own shade.
Organized around an internal double height corridor that creates shelter from the sun and the wind the house faces each cardinal direction differently — each elevation a negotiation with a distinct climatic condition.
It is an architecture that knows the plain deeply, and has found within its apparent emptiness a complex spatial richness.
