Project summary

…’s Riyadh office stands as a beacon of legal excellence, housing many of Saudi Arabia’s leading lawyers in capital markets, private equity, corporate, banking, litigation, regulatory, and restructuring fields. This office, a hub of high-caliber legal minds, has recently undergone a significant renovation designed to enhance both functionality and aesthetic appeal. Our innovative concept for this renovation aimed to transform the office space into a more collaborative and efficient environment, tailored to the needs of its distinguished occupants.

The core of our renovation strategy revolved around the creation of two central hubs, or “hearts,” within the office layout. Each heart was meticulously designed to include a workstation, a cafeteria, and a services area. These elements were thoughtfully integrated to foster a sense of community and facilitate ease of access to essential amenities. By positioning these hearts strategically within the office, we sought to create central gathering points that encourage interaction and collaboration among team members.

Surrounding these central hubs are the individual offices where the firm’s partners, administrators, managers, consultants, and associates work together. This arrangement ensures that every team member is within close proximity to the central hubs, promoting a seamless flow of communication and collaboration. The layout is designed to support the dynamic and often demanding nature of legal work, providing spaces that cater to both focused individual tasks and collaborative efforts.

One of the key design elements we preserved in this renovation was the existing wood wall separators between the offices and corridors. These separators, a distinctive feature of the original design, were not only retained but also enhanced. We expanded these wood wall separators and seamlessly transformed them into strip wood wall separators. This change not only preserved the aesthetic continuity of the office but also introduced a modern touch that aligns with the overall design ethos of the renovation. The use of strip wood wall separators adds a sense of warmth and sophistication to the office environment, creating a balance between tradition and modernity.

Lighting plays a crucial role in the overall ambiance of the renovated office, especially in the central lounge. Here, the lighting design creates a dramatic effect, appearing to tear through the ceiling and demarcate the sitting area. This innovative use of lighting not only enhances the visual appeal of the lounge but also establishes it as a focal point within the office. The interplay of light and shadow adds depth and dimension to the space, making it a welcoming and engaging area for informal meetings and relaxation.

The renovated Riyadh office now stands as a testament to thoughtful design and strategic planning. It reflects the firm’s commitment to providing a world-class working environment for its lawyers, enhancing their ability to deliver top-notch legal services. The integration of the two central hubs, the preservation and enhancement of the wood wall separators, and the strategic layout of the offices all contribute to a cohesive and functional workspace. This renovation not only meets the current needs of the firm but also positions it for future growth and success in the dynamic legal landscape of Saudi Arabia.

In conclusion, the renovation of …’s Riyadh office was a carefully crafted endeavor aimed at enhancing both functionality and aesthetic appeal. By creating two central hubs surrounded by offices, preserving the unique wood wall separators, and utilizing innovative lighting design in the central lounge, we have successfully transformed the office into a modern, efficient, and collaborative workspace. This renovation underscores the firm’s commitment to excellence and innovation, ensuring that it remains at the forefront of the legal profession in Saudi Arabia.
