Project summary
The shell
Conceived according to an inverted scheme, the shell takes its name from its main inspiration the seashell. Inverting the normal residential scheme allows us to create a link between the interior spaces and what is synthetic architecture in the landscape.
The pool becomes an essential element in both the architecture and the living, reflecting both the exterior onto the interior and the interior onto the exterior.
It transcends a pool function but becomes a bringer of fresh air, sunlight, and the whole life of the project.
Under the concrete shell of the residence, the undulated fragmented glass façade takes different directions in a way to reflect and frame the different views and surrounding scenery, it creates an aspect of total immersion between the house and the context.
