Project summary
Nestled in a breathtaking location, Hamate Retreat features a series of residential units interconnected through common areas, all offering stunning views of the extraordinary sea. This project is situated in Hamate, a picturesque village in the northern Caza of Lebanon.
The surrounding region is characterized by lush greenery and unspoiled landscapes that face the deep blue sea. The property spans 3,000 square meters, perfectly aligned to maximize the view.
The design strategy behind the project was to create a self-sustaining organism that maintains a direct connection with the stunning scenery, incorporating a series of extrusions that orient towards the diverse vistas. This striking white structure, reminiscent of a living organism with multiple “heads,” defies the laws of gravity with its spectacular cantilevers and expansive openings, transforming it into an open-air viewing experience enveloped in a sleek white concrete façade.
Overlooking the horizon, the retreat features a linear infinity pool that seamlessly merges with the infinite blue of the sea. The project’s deck, designed to resemble a naval bridge, serves as both a sunbathing area and an outdoor yoga studio, enhancing the overall experience of tranquility and relaxation. Additionally, the scenic amphitheater adds an extra dimension to the spectacular ambiance of the location.
Hamate Retreat harmoniously unites the sea, humanity, and nature. Designed with low-maintenance infrastructure, it serves as an exemplary case study for similar projects.
