Project summary
Overlooking the Mediterranean coastline of Byblos, this mixed-use office and commercial building is conceived as a contemporary concrete monolith—an abstract interpretation of a sail poised toward the sea.
The project is organized over two commercial levels and upper office floors, unified by a sculpted concrete mass that appears carved rather than assembled. Large, carefully oriented openings are directed toward sea views, allowing light and horizon to penetrate the depth of the structure while maintaining a strong, protective envelope toward the city.
The angular geometry and inclined façade evoke motion and tension, transforming the building into a static vessel anchored to its site. Through its material honesty and expressive form, the project establishes a bold architectural presence—both grounded and dynamic—within the coastal fabric of Byblos.
