Project summary
Located in Al Jubail, an industrial city in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, this project encompasses a mix of residential units and office spaces designed specifically for middle-class workers from around the globe. The site spans an area of 6,000 square meters and is strategically positioned at the intersection of two roads, featuring a beautifully designed green corridor that serves as a public garden for the community.
The development will be executed in two phases. The first phase focuses on residential units, comprising a series of scattered studios on the upper floors. The ground floor will host retail spaces, office areas, and a central restaurant, complete with a central kitchen to serve the entire project.
The project divides the plot into two equal sections, with the portion adjacent to the green corridor being developed in Phase 1. The design features a dual-building structure connected by a central linear void. Each building consists of two main cores and a central corridor that provides access to the studios.
The elevations facing the central void, are creatively designed with a series of randomly positioned extrusions, angled to face the greenery, ensuring privacy for the residents. The buildings are unified through the use of glazed facades, concrete and metal panels, and louvers that function as sunshades while enhancing the sense of intimacy within the living spaces.
