Project summary
Low and horizontal, this chalet presses itself into the snow plain as if seeking warmth from the earth itself. The roof line follows the gentle slope of the site, and the building's profile from a distance reads more as a landform than a building.
Large glazed openings face the valley view while the back of the house is solid against the prevailing winter wind — protective from behind, open to the world in front. The plan is compact and efficient, every square meter deliberate.
It is an architecture of protection and prospect — two conditions that, here, become one.
Concrete as a unique material !
This chalet lives through the intimate play of light and shadows passing through its upper openings and ceiling. The roof acts as a light controller while the internal spaces are defined through concrete.
