In 2004, Akl Akl co-founded AB Architects with Patrick Boustany, establishing an architectural design studio dedicated to creating a new, contextually-driven architecture. Over the past decade, the firm has transformed into a dynamic, cross-disciplinary team, successfully engaging with various countries across the Middle East and Africa.

In 2016, Akl Akl and his partner parted ways, leading to the founding of Akl Architects by Akl Akl.

AKL ARCHITECTS  is structured to conceive and design projects going from the feasibility study to the execution drawings, bill of quantities and site supervision.
Its aim is to try as much as possible to elaborate concepts and architectural approaches that are consequent to each demand and contextual to each program and site.

Akl Akl is a Lebanese architect who graduated from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA-UOB) in 1999-2000.

With 25 years of experience in the field, he has spent the last 9 years leading his own multidisciplinary practice, AKL ARCHITECTS.

Akl’s work is characterized by a unique philosophy that blends academic insights with professional practice. He strives to create architecture that harmonizes the visionary concepts developed by students with the practical realities of meticulously constructed buildings that embody the architect’s vision. While contextual architecture is a cornerstone of Akl’s philosophy, he believes it must be complemented by a bespoke spatial quality inherent in every project.

This fusion of foundational architectural principles with contemporary experimental approaches is central to Akl's design ethos.
