Nestled in the Lebanese mountains, this project is situated on an arid plot surrounded by a rugged landscape and native trees, serving as a spectator to the untouched natural scenery. With a vision rooted in a direct connection to nature, PM Retreat is constructed from locally sourced concrete materials. The finishing of these materials retains their original texture, with the imprints of wooden planks still visible throughout the building.

A raw concrete finish envelops the space, extending from the floors to the walls and ceilings. The design is conceived as a monolithic structure, a concrete temple that frames picturesque views and creates dynamic shadows cast by the interplay of light on the architectural elements.

At the heart of the house lies a central terrace, establishing an immediate connection with the surrounding landscape. The high ceilings in the reception area accentuate the brutalist architectural style of the edifice.

The lower floor is dedicated to evening functions, designed with fluidity in mind, allowing for the option to convert suites into rental Airbnb apartments. A single linear staircase connects the floors, serving as a symbolic column within the concrete realm.

In front of the monolith, an infinity pool reflects the colors of the sky, evoking a sense of freedom and harmony with nature.
